Netflix’s Moving Theatre Brings Mahabharata Magic to Lucknow, Draws Massive Crowds

Lucknow: Storytelling came alive in spectacular fashion as Netflix’s immersive moving theatre made a grand stop at Chandrashekhar Azad Park, Aliganj, transforming the space into a larger-than-life cinematic arena. The travelling setup—equipped with air-conditioned seating, a giant screen, themed games, and interactive photo zones—offered residents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to step into the world of Kurukshetra, the streaming giant’s newly launched animated series based on the Mahabharata.

The event drew massive crowds, turning the venue into a vibrant celebration of culture, nostalgia, and community engagement. Visitors enjoyed a special episode screening, participated in character-inspired housie games, and took home exclusive giveaways and merchandise. The royal-themed photo booth became the most popular attraction, with people queuing up to capture their epic moment.

From college youth to families and children, the experience resonated across generations—reigniting the spirit of India’s greatest saga. The themes of courage, dharma, sacrifice, and destiny brought audiences together in a shared emotional journey.

The Lucknow showcase was part of a multi-city tour, with the moving theatre now set to mesmerize audiences in Indore, Bhopal, and Kanpur. The initiative highlights Netflix’s innovative approach to storytelling—taking cinema beyond the screen and into the streets.

Kurukshetra, told from the perspective of 18 warriors, dives deep into the moral conflicts and decisions that shaped the fate of history.

The epic is now streaming exclusively on Netflix—bringing the Mahabharata to a new generation like never before.
